For those of you who doesn’t know Restaurant City, well, it’s just a simple but very addicting application in Facebook.

Restaurant City lets you run your very own restaurant and employ your friends to work for you as waiters, chefs and cleaners. And with a wealth of different decorations, furniture and equipment to choose from you can really make your mark with a completely unique restaurant. You can visit your friends' restaurants too and even trade ingredients with them to help you create a menu which ensures your restaurant is the talk of the town!

Below is a screenshot of my restaurant…

Unfortunately, it takes eternity before you reach the highest level and mostly you’ll get bored waiting for you to level up to a very spacious restaurant. The good news is… there is still a workaround, or cheat as others may call it, that still works up to the time of writing of this post.

First, Here’s what you need:

1. Internet Explorer or Mozila Firefox (preferred)
2. Cheat Engine 5.5 (download it here)
3. Restaurant City Tools Version 4 (download it here)
4. Flashplayer 9 or 10 (download it here if its still not installed)

Now, for the hack…

1. Open your firefox or ie browser and load your Restaurant City! You must be inside your restaurant for this cheat to work
2. Click and launch Cheat Engine 5.5
3. In your cheat engine, click the first button on the upper left corner (the one with a computer and magnifying glass)
   
   
   
4. Search for the web browser that you are using and select it. (look for the firefox icon and the text firefox.exe if you are using mozilla firefox)
   
   
   
5. Click Open
6. Now, launch Restaurant  City Tools version 4 (RC Tools)
7. Before you do anything else, uncheck the Enable Hotkey at the bottom part of RC Tools. You won’t need it’s functionality
   
   
   
8. Be sure you're at the first tab. It’s actually the default tab but just to make sure, check if you’re at the Money+Exp Tab
   
   
   
9. As you can see at the image above, there are hotkey fields populated with different codes. Copy the first Hotkey code (highlight it and press CTRL-C)
10. Switch to the Cheat Engine Application and check the Hex box, you’ll see a lot of zero in the field
11. Paste (CTRL-V) the Hotkey code from RC Tools to the Cheat Engine’s Hex field replacing the zero characters
12. Change the Value type field from 4 Bytes to 8 Bytes
13. Scan Type should be at the Exact Value and Memory Scan Options should be at 32-Bit
14. Check the box of Also scan read-only memory.
15. Your Cheat Engine should look like the image below
    
    
    
16. Click the First Scan button to make the Cheat Engine do its work
17. After the scan, you should see some codes at the Address and Value field. If there is nothing there, then its either you did something wrong or Playfish has already patched this hack.
18. Right click on the codes and choose Disassemble this memory again.
    
    
    
19. You are now faced with a lot of codes… don’t be overwhelmed, you only need the first line. Right click on the first code and choose Go to address
    
    
    
20. Here is what you will see after pressing the go to address. Copy the address code and paste it to the Get field next to the Hotkey field of RC Tools.
    
    
    
    
    
21. You may close now the open windows of Cheat Engine leaving the main window only. Press New Scan and repeat step 11 to step 20 using the next hotkey code of RC Tools.
22. You only need to supply the codes for Hotkey [I] and Hotkey [O], just ignore Hotkey [P], you wouldn’t get anything even if you try the above steps for the key anyway
23. Change the ++ Points Step value from 200 to a higher amount. I used 200,000 to reach the maximum level in less than 5 minutes, i think.
24. Now press the Get Code button and you’ll see the code in the text area
25. If all went well, you’ll have something like this in your RC Tools.
    
    
    
26. Copy the highlighted codes, Go to the Cheat Engine and paste the codes from RC Tools to the cheat table of your Cheat Engine. Here’s what your Cheat Engine will look like.
    
    
    
27. Now for the final step…. Check the ++Points box and you can start enjoying leveling up to the maximum level allowed in just a few minutes… You just saved yourself countless hours of waiting for your restaurant to reach the largest size possible.

Note:

Upon installation of the Cheat Engine, your anti-virus program might warn you that it detects the Cheat Engine as a trojan virus. This is a false positive alarm. you can disable your anti-virus and install it again or just don’t install it. Just to make sure, I scanned the software myself with Norton Internet Security 2009 and AVG Internet Security 8.5 and found nothing. So if your antivirus software is picking the Cheat Engine application as a virus, then it’s either Cheat Engine is a real virus which my two registered antivirus programs can’t detect or you just have a crappy antivirus! Another thing, don’t be too greedy in leveling up. Playfish, the maker of Restaurant City, might ban your account if they smell something fishy.

And lastly, there is no guarantee how long this cheat will work. The Frozen HP and the Money Hack was already patched by Playfish so don’t waste your time trying to make it work since it is long gone. This is the only hack you can use that I’m pretty much sure that is still working.
