How to upload pictures to your Facebook account using Picasa
Facebook is the hottest social networking site today (as far as I’m concern… sorry friendster ^_^) and like everyone else, I love to upload tons of pictures into different photo albums. And uploading batch of photos can be quite a chore. So to make uploading photos to facebook quick and easy, we could use the power of Google Picasa.
Ok, first thing first. Install Picasa in your system (Windows or Mac). If you haven't already, you can download it here.
Picasa is ready to upload your images to the web. you can open an account at picasa web album using your google account or you can sign up for free if you don’t have one.
But what we want is be able to upload images to facebook and not on picasa web album. You still need to install a plugin to do this.
You can get the plugin here. Just click the Install Now button to install the plugin into picasa,

If for some reason the Install Now button is non-clickable or is grayed out, you can install the plugin manually.
Just download the plugin file (right click and “save link as”) to the “buttons” directory of your Picasa installation (usually C:\Program Files\Google\Picasa3\buttons on Windows XP).
Start Picasa and you should see now a facebook button (a familiar facebook icon).
If the facebook button doesn’t shows up, you may need to go to Tools-> Configure Buttons and add the button to the right column so that it shows up.
For more help and documentation, you can refer to picasa uploader faq.
Now, to upload the photos to your facebook account: (instructions from picasa uplaoder website)
1. Select photos to upload
Click on photos to select them in the photo tray, then press "Hold" to keep them there if you need to select more. You can use the control and shift keys to select photos individually and in groups, or you can click and drag.
2. Click the "Facebook" button
Photos selected in the photo tray will be uploaded to Facebook. You will be prompted to log in to Facebook and, if you haven't already, to allow this plugin to access your Facebook account. You will need to allow this so the plugin can place the photos in your account.
3. Select an album
You can put the photos in an existing album, or create a new one.
Note: Facebook restricts you to 200 photos per album, so you won't see any albums that can't fit all of the newly uploaded photos.
Another Note: If you select "Create a New Album" but don't enter a name, photos will be placed in a default "Picasa Photos" album which can hold up to 1000 photos. After you add photos, it'll show up in your list in the future.
4. Upload photos
When you click the Upload button, Picasa prepares your images and sends them. This may take some time if you have a slow connection.
5. Approve photos
You must approve all photos uploaded to Facebook by third party applications before they'll show up in your albums. After Picasa finished uploading your photos, you'll be redirected to a page where you can confirm that you want your photos to show up.
6. That's it!
