The Philippines Hostage Crisis: Adding Insult To Injury

The whole nation is bleeding, being judged and being discriminated due to a single man's action forced by our nation’s corrupted system. What Mr. Rolando Mendoza did just to be heard will never be justifiable especially when he took innocent lives. Those people don't deserve to die, it's our system that is being unfair. If everyone here will just threaten someone's life for a selfish demand, there will never be a bright tomorrow for us Filipinos. This will just keep on happening over and over again.

To the irresponsible, inexperienced guys in uniform, what were you all doing in the years you spent in those uniforms. We are staggered yearly with unending hostage crisis in Mindanao and unending terrorist threat here in the main city,  yet no one knows the right protocol to handle incidents like this.. After what you all did, we should be glad that there are still survivors in that bus.

To the hostage taker, you don't deserve any sympathy, you are nothing more than a deadly criminal in our eyes.

To the media, you should have at least realize that your live coverage are one of the reasons why it's so damn hard to penetrate that bus. Your “responsible journalism” are what brought our country and fellow Filipinos overseas to the predicament we are now in.

To all the bystanders who was hit by stray bullets, I don't want to think that you get what you deserved but what are you all doing standing there in the first place?

And finally to our President, did you enjoyed watching the blow by blow coverage of the incident?

Hong Kong nationals are still furious, who wouldn’t be? Even I can’t hide the disgust.

And to add more insults to the massive injury of the bus siege incident, here are more irresponsible brainless individuals posing in front of a camera, smiling, and using the scene of the crime as their background. MORONS!!! Got all these photos from a HK community site, I can’t understand everything that is written there, but for sure there is nothing positive about it.

I understand the international communities sentiments, these individuals are indeed idiots. But don’t think all Filipinos are like them for there will always be a bunch of rotten fruits mixed in a big basket of good ones.

These are the times that it’s sad to be a Filipino.
